Biopharm Research China (BRC) is one of the research units in Novo Nordisk China R&D and a fully integrated part of the Biopharmaceuticals Research Unit (BRU) in Denmark. We are committed to developing innovative biologics to improve the lives of people with haemophilia, growth disorders, and autoimmune diseases. By leveraging our core competences in protein and antibody engineering & production, we support Novo Nordisk pipeline projects in turning naturally occurring proteins into valuable pharmaceuticals and identifying new molecular targets for the treatment of diseases. Currently BRC consists of three research departments: Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry, and Cell Biology. Research Associate in protein purification and characterization for Protein Chemistry Department

Job description:
We are seeking a research associate with background in protein chemistry focusing on protein purification and characterization. The successful candidate will team with a PhD level scientist to carry out laboratory work, documentations, and other tasks related to protein chemistry.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Design protein purification and characterization protocols
• Perform protein purification and characterization tasks
• Analyze experimental results and troubleshooting
• Optimize purification and characterization protocols
• Write lab notes, SOPs and other documentations in English

Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry or other Protein Chemistry related disciplines with good track record
• Expertise in protein chemistry with a broad range of technologies including protein purification and/or characterization
• >2 years of hand on experience with various equipment as AKTA, HPLC, or high throughput liquid handler
• Solid knowledge and great passion for proteins
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English
• Industrial work experience is a plus
• Proactive, cooperative, flexible personality with strong communication skills
