工作说明/ Job Description
Key areas of responsibility:
The analysis or advice will impact Region China’s business direction /operation directly
- Region China financial performance controlling
- Region China financial budgeting and reporting, HQ financial reporting projects
- Ad-hoc analysis and project support for Region VP Finance and General Manager
- Management and development of team

NB: As this is a key position working closely with VP Finance, joint evaluation will be performed by her/his the Finance Director, and VP Finance together, with approx 50% weightage from each.

Main job tasks:
Region China financial performance controlling:
Ensure effective performance controlling in line with Management planning – on a timely manner (monthly/quarterly). To be successful in this job, below are key areas:
•Sales – review of AB sales, phasing, target achievement (retail/hospital), and stock planning – and review with Sales, Commercial and Finance VP on monthly basis [NB: effectively involving both ex-NN and in-market sales]
•Sales – review of rebate policy/distribution structure, to support management decision making, at least quarterly
•Sales – support to impact analysis on bidding, and hence facilitate management decision making, as needed
•Costs - working with Procurement to ensure effective procurement
•Costs – working with respective department VPs to ensure there is an effective management mechanism and communication within the department of costs in line with AB, or agreed targets
•Costs – for those departments with Functional Controllers (Sales, Marketing, CMR), work with respective controllers to achieve the said aims; otherwise, provide direct support to respective VP working with their assistants/themselves – with at least bi-monthly review
•Take charge of monitoring BSC (Balanced ScoreCard), monthly update, and suggest corrective actions for fulfilment of financial targets
•PL review with affiliates GM/Finance on bi-monthly basis
•“Reporting innovation” – e.g. to ensure all relevant information is presented in concise manger to VP Finance/SVP, especially by having these in “Financial Package” or Monthly PPT. At least 2 times of self-review a year.

Region China financial budgeting and reporting, HQ financial reporting projects:
Ensure complete, good-quality and timely reporting (including adequate reviews by respective managers in Region China), and project participation. To be successful in this job, below are key focus areas:
•Timely and good-quality monthly (MMR) and quarterly reporting (Brand PL, Quarterly sales analysis etc). This requires good alliance with Marketing/Commercial colleagues.
•Timely and good-quality AB (anchor budget) and RE (rolling estimate) process. This requires good alliance with all Region China management, including HK/TW. Target is to ensure complete work is done within optimum time and in line with business targets for Region China.
•Participation in HQ financial reporting projects e.g. TOC transparency, Brand PL etc
•Profound in SAP BW and controller for Region China SAP structures in relation to for example cost centers etc

Ad-hoc analysis and project support for Region VP Finance and General Manager:
Support ad-hoc and urgent analysis needs. To be successful in this job, below are key focus areas:
•Capable of “quick and dirty” analysis – i.e. with high level of understanding of Novo Nordisk business and commercial insights
•Keep abreast with pharma market development especially in China, and may support with relevant analysis for competitive analysis
•Etc

Management and development of team:
Be a caring and coaching leader, who cares for team development and team spirit. To be successful in this job, below are key focus areas:
•Clearly define work scope allocation: e.g. sales/COGS (in-market/ex-NN), costs (per respective cost centers), others
•Clearly define work schedule, focus on deadline tasks vs other non-deadline tasks. And, set productivity targets for each task that is repeated
•Identify opportunities for team member to SHINE!, at least once a month
•Assist and prepare team member to shine, e.g. review her/his presentation for quality control, rehearsal etc, always
•Schedule one-to-one time for coaching and task-review separate, each week

Education:
Bachelor or Master degree with relevant major

Professional experience:
5 years of working experience in financial management
People management experience
Big 4 or Key Multinational Company experience required
