Department of Diabetes Protein Engineering is part of Novo Nordisk China R&D centre as an integrated part of Novo Nordisk's R&D organization and located in Beijing. The department is responsible for protein engineering support to our diabetes and obesity research projects in the discovery phase. We are focusing on protein expression, purification and characterisation to ensure a strong technology platform. We are a highly motivated and productive team with high standards for our deliveries into the projects. We work with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and value a high team spirit, good communication and dynamic collaboration. The department is expected to grow over the next years, which leads to excellent opportunities for individual development.


Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or relevant biological science
• Proven hands-on experience with E coli periplasmic and secretion strain development
• Familiar with molecular cloning including E coli Knock-out and Knock-in
• Experience with E coli metabolic engineering is a plus
• Experience from a biotech/pharmaceutical R&D setting is a plus
• Fluent in English • Good communication skill. Innovative, flexible, open to new ideas
