The Johnson and Johnson, ASPAC Development Centre – Shanghai location, are currently seeking Web Developers to join our team. We develop, design and deliver high quality business applications with Agile development rooted in LEAN principles. It is an open and highly collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on continuous integration, automated testing and continuous delivery. Scrum teams are encouraged to be self-organizing and autonomous.
About ASPAC Development Centre:
Join the newest of J&J’s four development centers from across Europe, Latin America, USA and now Shanghai. These centers enable our businesses to move with speed and agility, accelerating J&J’s digital transformation. As a member of this fun and dynamic team (snacks available, indoor gym) you will help shape the future of J&J’s digital offerings with a smile.
Responsibilities:
Developing J&J’s Digital Experience across brands, electronic media and software delivery channels.
Requirements:
7 + years’ experience writing clean, hand-coded HTML, JavaScript and CSS in consumer-facing web applications.
Excellent mastery of web standards, cross-browser compatibility and building in accessibility from the ground up.
Experience with Drupal based web platforms
Experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks
Experience working with NPM (Node Package Manager)
Experience with JavaScript and PHP unit testing such as QUnit, Jasmine, and PHPUnit
Experience with a templating technology: Handlebars, Underscore, or mustache
Comfortable debugging client-side issues with Chrome Dev Tools, Firebug and similar tools
Good written and verbal English skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Possess a basic understanding of agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with Oracle and MySQL are a plus.
BSc. or Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work effectively with teams.
Strong analytical skills and take action when needed.
