Research Associate : Laboratory Automation, Molecular Biology Department

Responsibilities:
The Research Associate will be dedicated in the daily operation of lab automation instruments and their routine maintenance. Major responsibilities include:

· Provide daily operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Biomek FXP and NXP workstations.
· Assist scientists to identify and translate manual lab practices into efficient automation methods in the context of on-going projects.
· Maintain established Biomek automation methods for large groups of users in a dynamic environment.
· Record and analyse data and results, including write lab notes and reports.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor or Master Degree in Life Science, Chemistry or Engineering with relevant working experience.
· Hands-on experience with Biomek workstations is highly desirable.
·Knowledge or experience of molecular biology techniques (such as PCR, plasmid extraction, cell culture and recombinant protein expression) is a plus.
· Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task.
·Organized, patient, focused, flexible and be able to follow protocols.
· Efficient interpersonal and communication skills.
