Sourcing Engineer (11725)

Unit Description :

Major Project Engineering and supplies unit in China support the Engineering and supplies of elevators to Major project in EAP area. The unit is specializing in engineering high rise elevators and as well as special customized elevator for high demand solution request from customers. Major Projects Engineering & Supply (E&S) consist of two operational functions in Finland and China.
E&S China provides following solutions:
Engineering provides technical solutions, general arrangement drawings and material tenders
Supply takes in orders, prepares the engineering and delivery plans and coordinates the supply
In addition E&S contains support activities like Logistic planning, Process development, Business planning and controlling, Sourcing and Quality
Support activities develop respective areas from Major Project full chain point of view
Key elements are: Completeness on time, fast reaction to changes, proper variation management, world class quality and engineering and material cost competitiveness.

Job Descriptions

Responsibilities and Key Activities :
Responsibilities for Sourcing Engineer:
Ensure timely, quality and cost competitive supply to MP E&S CHN
Responsible for Saving actions to MP unit
Responsible for meeting targets and deliverable set by SuM
Responsible for non-standard component quotation
Support implementation of unit and/or category led sourcing initiatives
Ensure cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder relationships
Drive local supplier negotiation, selection and management based on KONE strategic sourcing process (BENIM)
Manage MP key supplier quality performance issues
Responsible to update and maintain price lists in relevant systems and databases
Ensure compliance and adherence to KONE sourcing (KSO) policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards

Skills, Education and Experience :
Technical and/or commercial degree
Fluent level of English
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain management or relevant area
Related spend expertise is an asset.
