Corporate Venture Capital - Manager

Responsibilities

1.  Identify and assess emerging/disruptive technologies and trends in adjacent and emerging markets that may present significant opportunities to group new business growth, and/or threat to group core and existing businesses.

2.  Build contacts and socialize with investment communities, start-ups, entrepreneurs, academics and incubators, and develop deal sourcing and screening networks.

3.  Map and screen start-ups in the target areas with strategic focus in line with group growth strategy.

4.  Conduct project scouting and techno-economic evaluation, with gaining insights on market and technology trends by market/technology study and analysis, as well as financial analysis and valuation.

5.  Assess values of selected start-ups, and initiate minority investment cases.

6.  Conduct deal execution process and drive the deal externally and internally, with knowledge of deal practice, including process, terms, structure, communication and negotiation, due diligence, financial analysis and valuation, and risk control.

7.  Support post-investment management & value creation, creating synergies between target companies and NIPSEA, bringing benefits for business from industry resources and networks, technology and market expertise, etc.

8.  Interact with key stakeholders internally and connect with appropriate network in coordination, in order to drive the progress of corporate venture capital.

Desired Skills and Experience:

1.  BS and above, or MBA, in business, finance, chemistry,engineering, material science, or related  majors.

2.  3-5 years industry experience in paints and coatings, or chemical and material related.

3.  2-3 years working experience in venture capital investment,start-ups, or corporate M&A.

4.   Demonstrated strong entrepreneurship with business acumen.

5.   Demonstrated capabilities in project management and working effectively.

6.   Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

7.   Self-starter and results oriented.

8.   Fluent in both Chinese and English.

9.   Domestic and international travels required.
