Process Engineer

Department: Group Core R&D

Responsibilities:

1.Process lead with active participation in R&D projects, including coordination with plant for new product trials, and collaboration with third party innovative partners such as ChangXin and counterparts of Nippan Paint Japan.

2. Lead or support process design for new plant

3. Support R&D to optimize manufacturing processes and successful scale-up of resin product developments.

4.Support the development of solutions for a variety of technical challenges assuming the role of team leader in projects as needed. Develop solutions and implement designs for process improvements using the plant MOC and project procedures.

5.Study process alternatives and develop preliminary economics analysis to advance technology.

6.Provide plant support as necessary (Shanghai, Tianjin, Langfang, Chengdu, Guangzhou and tolling partners) and participate in development of operating procedures and process documents. Support or direct test runs and/or new product trials in the plants.

7. Using knowledge of process chemistry and operations, develop and lead cost savings initiatives at the plants.

8. Utilize rigorous statistical methodology, including DOE, SQC, regression, and other forms of optimization.

9Perform basic engineering work dealing with the development of process technology for capital projects, improving plant performance, and/or testing of new equipment concepts. Expected to show originality and innovation in developing problem solutions.

10 Identify process safety improvement opportunities and develop improvements where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. At least Bachelor degree in chemical engineering or polymer with strong engineer background

2. Well versed and experienced in the application of principles and theories of Chemical Engineering.

3. Demonstrated ability to work in team and fast paced environment

4. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
