Position: API Developer

Location: KS/Sh

We are looking for experienced API developer to join China API development team in KONE Services and Solutions R&D China. In this role you are responsible for designing and developing the robust, scalable, secure and innovative APIs for a variety of digital solutions. The China API development team is in charge of managing full life-cycle API development and delivery in an agile way. With China API development team KONE targets to offer digital solution and service integration capabilities to our customers and ecosystem partners in a more agile and adaptable manner under fast-changing market environment and contribute to KONE’s mission to improve the flow of urban life.

Responsibilities and key activities:

Work closely with business units to understand their data, their use cases and user acceptance of the data services developed

Conducts analysis on the data to be made available by the APIs, and work with data owners to construct the integration(s)

Design, build and support high performance, scalable, and innovative backend system/microservices on AWS/Ali Cloud

Design and develop API specifications using OpenAPI Specifications/YAML/Swagger

Develop backend APIs, implement system instrumentation, and provide documentation

Support end-end management of the APIs over its entire lifecycle, including monitoring, performance tuning, and responding to incidents

Updates integrations as needed for API version updates, changing requests and enhancements

Implement AWS/Ali cloud-based infrastructure systems to support continuous delivery and integration pipelines (Docker, Docker Swarm, and Jenkins. Kubernetes)

Executes the unit testing. Peer review of the code

Scrum based delivery

We expect you to have

3+ years of experience with full stack development, including application, RESTful APIs and Microservices, testing, and automation experience

Excellent hands-on development experience with Java, with experience also on other languages like JavaScript, Node.js and other API related technologies

Ability to analyze, manage, scale and secure APIs: API Key Validation , Authentication, Authorization and Identity: leveraging API keys, OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS mutual authentication and access tokens etc.

Must have experience with SQL data stores and designing relational data models

Prefer experience with deploying and maintaining software services within public cloud environments, particularly AWS services such as Serverless/Lambda, CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, EC2/VPCs, Docker, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudWatch / Datadog / other monitoring services

Knowledge of installation and configuration, platform operations ,trouble shoot and support of API products.

Good English writing and speaking skills.

API product experience like Mulesoft, API Gateways

Ability to articulate and solve complex technical issues in an effective manner

Ability to understand, learn and work fast in the Lean operation organization
