We are looking for experienced solution architect to join 24/7 & New Digital Solutions Team in KONE Services and Solutions R&D China. In this role you are responsible for designing the overall system architecture for a variety of digital solutions. System architect consists of both IoT site components, cloud platform, interfaces/APIs and applications. The DevOps team is in charge of managing full life-cycle digital solution development and delivery in an agile way. With 24/7 & New Digital Solutions Team KONE targets to offer solutions and services to our customers in a more agile and adaptable manner under fast-changing market environment and contribute to KONE’s mission to improve the flow of urban life.

Responsibilities and key activities:

Design, develop and execute software solutions to address business requirement, have ownership of the overall architecture for our SaaS & IoT platform

Provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to guide our developers, leading the technical solution design and implementation with DevOps teams

Transforming backlog user story into detailed technical system design, lead, govern, and collaborate to develop features across multiple subsystems including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing, and deployment

Specifying and harmonizing end to end holistic architecture of digital systems across different project teams

Design, develop and manage effective and scalable databases, APIs and applications

Identify performance bottlenecks and come up with novel ways to solve them

Ensure system robustness and cyber security compliance, high availability, scalability etc.

Managing integration between different systems or platforms, data flow , data integrity and validity

Support any migration and software refresh activities

Managing the DevOps pipeline and tool chain

We expect you to have

Master Degree in Computer science or similar.

5 years working experiences in E2E IoT/Cyber-physical system design and debug, proficient in architecture specification, design, integration and documentation

Working experience in communication and networking technologies, OSI Model, serial communication e.g. RS485/RS282, protocols e.g. Modbus, CAN, BACNET, MQTT, HTTP, Socket

Proficient understanding in Cloud architecture, scalability, open APIs, AWS, Aliyun etc.

Expertise in end-to-end applications, microservices hosted on Kubernetes with a focus on scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance

Excellent hands-on development experience with Java, with experience also on other languages like JavaScript, Node.js and other API related technologies

Expertise in SQL (relational databases), key-value datastores, and document stores

Expertise in message hub, event broker, e.g. Kafka, Cloud Event, MQ, ESB

Basic Cybersecurity technology, able to communicate cybersecurity topics

Min 5- 7 years’ experience in R&D field, e.g. end to end IoT/Cyber-physical system design in commercial projects/solutions.

Ability to articulate and solve complex technical issues in an effective manner

Ability to multi-task, and have sense of time-management & priority management

Ability to understand, learn and work fast in the Lean operation organization  

Strong self-motivated & sense of ownership, team work and service mindset;

Good communication and co-ordination skills, proactive and customer centric mindset ;

Good English writing and speaking skills.
