We are looking for a Senior Design Specialist, Senior UX Designer to join our award winning design team in China, Shanghai.

This role is an exciting opportunity to be a part of creating a completely new team and working culture at KONE. You will be in essential role of establishing and strengthening KONE UX/UI design practices and methodology. We are looking for a person who has a strong know-how on design thinking, co-creation and with a fearless challenger attitude. We hope to see a strong portfolio that reflects a range of projects and demonstrating high-quality UX/UI design outcomes.
You will be operating in quick learning cycles via experiments; seeking problems that are worth solving and co-creating solutions that are worth building. You will also have a chance to be part of building new ways of working in KONE globally. Welcome to the team!

We expect you to have

· Passion for solving problems

· Dedication for user interface to delight our end-users and customers

· Drive to ensure world-class user experience and ability to form simple and user-friendly solutions to complex problems and usability issues

· Ability to define and drive UI design in KONE Design

· Passion for innovations to create new concepts and new thinking

· Strong experience in UI design in various user experience roles

· A proactive and systematic way of working, active role in projects to ensure end-user view involvement

· Ways to communicate your designs by using wireframes, mockups and quick functional prototypes

· Skills to organize information to come up with holistic information architecture

· Willingness to constantly iterate and improve the design by utilizing end-user behavior insights

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UI Design or relevant field

· Up to date knowledge on the latest design tools and techniques and willingness to learn new skills

· Willingness to maximise learning by sharing your experience and expertise within the team members

· Previous experience in working in agile multidisciplinary team

· Interest in both market and human behavior

· Willingness to travel-optional

· Communication skills in Chinese and English, both written and verbal

· Team player mentality, fearless challenger attitude and ability to work in an ambiguous and dynamic environment

· Devops environment and matix in both devops and design team

· Understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript frameworks and workflows

· Traction for user researchers

· Interest towards cognitive science

· Know-how on design thinking and co-creation with customers and/or end-users is also seen as an asset
