Pigment Dispersion Chemist

Responsibilities:

1. Lead next generation pigment dispersion development for automotive waterborne coatings                                    

1.1 Design formulation principle, process technology and QFD with global community   

1.2 Monitor experimental design, result analysis, and further plan on daily basis                 

1.3 Scale-up lab trial to plant production, and monitor the alignment batches                

1.4 Proactively engage in color styling and color design, and propose high chroma dispersion development project     

1.5 Lead high chroma dispersion development and application for automotive waterborne coatings                            

1.6 Actively involve in coating technical problem solving from dispersion aspects             

1.7 Execute industrial analysis and competitors' analysis, and stay updated with current developments on high chroma color area   

                                            

2. Drive universal dispersion line consolidation and alignment program across NIPSEA group

2.1 Leverage global resources to drive pigment toolbox consolidation and new pigment qualification                          

2.2 Drive pigment consolidation and dispersion line consolidation, and ensure know-how exchange and collaboration within product development teams                                      

2.3 Write comprehensive reports on data obtained from experimentation and present observations, conclusions and recommendations                                          

2.4 Guide and provide required training for the pigment dispersion work of chemists or technicians in NIPSEA group       

3. QHSE                                           

3.1 Implement internal QHSE standards to ensure safe lab operations                            

3.2 Participate in safety training actively   

Requirements:   

1、Ph.D degree of Science or Technology. Preferable in Polymer Chemistry/ Polymer Physics/ Chemicals.

2、Sophisticated knowledge on coating formulation, application, and the relevant raw materials. DOE is preferable. 

3、Good English and Chinese communication skill
