Responsibilities:

1. Establish & standardize in-house color rendering and measuring tools using pre-selected state-of-the-art spectrophotometer                                              

1.1Cooperate/Work closely with top spectrophotometer manufacturer/suppliers for hardware and software selection and evaluation/examination                                         

1.2Establish color science fundamentals and future trends with the support of global expertise

1.3Develop in-house color measurement tools using selected spectrophotometer          

1.4Practice and improve color measurement tools through the application in certain identified areas                                    

2. Create/Build color matching methodology, refinish color formula development, robust color formula database system, and reliable multi-angle color matching system for group Auto Refinish business                                               

2.1 Identify, propose, and communicate business requirements to align Color Software, Database and Service offerings in meeting & exceeding group Refinish business and customer expectations                                               

2.2 Create sophisticated color matching database with group Refinish Dispersion team and Color Matching team                                              

2.3 Initiate automatic color matching system by the implementation of color vectors and color matching database                                  

2.4 Assist IT team on the launch and trial of color system                                             

3. Implement user-friendly color matching system and drive for continuous improvements in meeting customers' needs in the field                                          

3.1 Identify opportunities for effective use of technology, and demonstrate the ability to implement and support those opportunities                                          

3.2 Provide ontime and onsite color software and hardware support, and color matching support to drive system launch                                             

3.3 Contribute to the successful creation, deployment, training, and support of all customer facing color solutions                                             

3.4 Significanly improve customer satisfaction level through implementation of robust and user-friendly color matching design

Requirements:

1. Master or Ph.D degree of Science or Technology. Perferable in Physics, Mathematics, and Engineering.                  
2. Interest in the field of color science or color technology. Knowledge in coating or pigment is preferable.               
3. Sophisticated knowledge on color, spetrophotometer, automatic color matching system
4. Effective analytical abilities and technical skills to isolate problems, fix immediate needs and offer long term solutions based on root cause analysis
5. Ability to lead projects independently and good sense on project/time management
6. Strong oral and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
