MISSION
As a call to action from the Executive Committee, Sanofi must become a leaner and more flexible organization. This imperative to better manage our resources to fund our future is a top priority for the whole organization.
In this context and to help Sanofi China deliver successfully on its 4 strategic pillars (Grow – Accelerate – Transform – Excel), the Sanofi China Transformation Office has been created to catalyze our efforts to transform Sanofi China into a more agile, efficient and simple organization, with the ambition to make it a role model for the industry and Sanofi worldwide. It will build on the foundations of the previous Operating Model Program.
Our Transformation Office start operating as of April 1st as a multi-disciplinary program, leading or coordinating all our current and to-be-launched transformation initiatives, partnering with our Business Units and Functions, in China and internationally, working closely with the Global Transformation Office.
It will focus the company and its resources on the highest impact projects, overseeing their implementation with speed and quality. These projects will relate to maximizing growth drivers, streamlining our cost base, stepping up operational efficiency while ensuring risk controls and compliance high standards. This entails working on our structure, cost base, resources allocations and ways of working within China but also with key internal stakeholders outside of China.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
Lead, coordinate, and drive the execution of the main transformational projects and initiatives across the BUs and functions, such as:
-Improving our Organizational Effectiveness and implementing new organizational models,
-Streamlining our cost base to drive our competitiveness (e.g. Smart Spend initiative),
-Fostering a culture of Performance and Simplification by improving our ways of working (e.g. LEAN roll-out),
-Re-engineering end-to-end processes and designing innovative approaches,
-Managing post-closing execution of potential Business Development / M&A transactions.
Constantly looks, proposes and implements initiatives and solutions to deliver higher business efficiency and simplification in alignment with the business teams and Global Support Functions.
REPORTING LINES
The Head of the Transformation Office will report directly to the Head Commercial Excellence Head and dotted line to the CFO and will lead the Transformation Committee chaired by Sanofi China Country Chair.
RESOURCES
The Transformation Office will comprise around 7 Transformation leaders, empowered to deliver pace and tangible progress in the execution of the projects. They will report to the Head of Transformation Office.
MAIN INTERFACES
-Locally : Business Units and Support Functions
-Above country: Strong exchange with Global Business Transformation and Global Transformation office, China & Emerging Markets Global Business Units and Global Support Functions
-This position will directly interact with senior management, locally and globally

-Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to drive change in a matrix organization by fostering alignment and decision making
-Strong project management capabilities with experience of driving a multi-project program delivering process improvement and tangible outcomes
-Strong analytical capacity coupled with an ability to synthesize complex challenges to ease fact-based and action-oriented decision-making
-Excellent transversal cooperation and influence/communication skills,
-Sound understanding of operating model of a large organization (structure, processes, governance, systems) and strong vision on how to optimize efficiency
-High ability to learn and adapt fast,
-Great focus on performance management and excellence in execution,
-Inspiring leader who can build, develop and lead a high performing team,
-Experience: leaders with 10-year experience Consulting/Audit, Finance/Procurement/Business Operations or Sales & Marketing management
-Languages : English
