Responsibilities:

1.     Responsible to source and/or resource seasonal fabrics based on brand needs, enlarge the fabric variation and assure the trend of our woven, jersey & knit and denim divisions.

2.     Responsible to source, extend and optimize the current garment supplier pool based on brand needs.

1. Responsible for building up the core fabric library and database and renew it each season along with Buying team.

4.     Initiate, build and maintain relationships with mills, fabric supplier and agents.

1. Responsible for cross-checking the fabric price to gain the cost reduction and control the cost.

6.     Gather and negotiate fabric costs and lead-times from nominated mill base.

7.     Help to negotiate claims and resolve fabric issues with mills and between mill and garment vendor when needed.

8.     Availability to travel and attend local and international trade fairs.

9.     Visit fabric mills and garment supplier factories for reviewing of capabilities and performance evaluation.

10.   Conduct seasonal garment supplier evaluations.

Qualifications:

1. BA/BS Degree in Product Development, Textiles or equivalent preferred.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of specialized experience in sourcing/development for a contemporary women’s wear brand.
3. Must have experience in apparel manufacturing.
4. Must have understanding of yarns construction, yarn dye, washing, printing and finishes.
5. Clear understanding of supplier capabilities and good supplier relations.
6. Highly organized and self-motivated.
7. Ability to adjust the current needs of a fast-paced, dynamic brand.
8. Able to travel.
9. Strong verbal communication skills, both in Chinese and English.
