Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced software development manager who can lead a team of 7-20 people and has the potential to manage larger teams. You will be working in a fast expanding scope company in the unified communications industry, and have the opportunity of growing a young and enthusiastic team to its maturity. You will use your technical, management, and people skills to
? Ensure on-time and high quality delivery of product development targets
? Build & maintain an excellent collaboration model w/ global partners, and has strong influence.
? Facilitate continuous growth in your team’s technical competency
? Coach and mentor your team members to help them grow in their career path
? Be the contact point and represent your team in projects requiring international cooperation within and outside Polycom.

Qualifications:
? Master Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
? Excellent English skills, especially oral English communication.
? 12+ year experience in software development
? 5+ year experience of managing a team of 20 people
? Good experience of recruiting, coaching and mentoring team members
? Experience of managing a full product cycle from product definition to design, implementation, testing, release, and sustaining
? Strong technical background in any 3 of the following areas


a. Software architecture
b. Programming in C/C++/Java/C# in a multi-processor/multi-process environment
c. Embedded software development
d. Communication protocols such as h.323, SIP
e. Audio/video/image processing and/or audio video codecs
f. UI and user experience design
