Position Summary

Responsible for the Technology and Portfolio Unit consisting of Senior Engineers with following backgrounds:

· System Engineers

· System Architects

· Products Owners (Scrum Role)

· Technical Writers

Together with your unit, you will be working closely with various stake holders.

External to R&D (10-40%), working with

· Market/Customer Units in the region (Region North East Asia)

· China Communications Standards Association(CCSA)

· Business Unit, Product Line

· Other Product Development Units and Organizations

Internal to R&D (60-90%), working with product development teams/organizations

As a Product Development Leader you will ensure Ericsson's technology leadership, right scope, quality, time and cost for product development. The Product Development Leader teaches, coaches, challenges and develops individuals, teams and organizations. The PD leaders secure technology leadership and foster an innovative and learning culture

Your daily tasks will mainly involve:

· Working closely with other product development leaders (Software design, test and support), program managers, technical leaders, cross functional teams and product development units for smooth execution of projects

· Resource Planning

· Assignment/Task Allocation

· Ensure the effective implementation of people management activities such as salary review, Individual Performance Management (IPM), career development and competence development; Actas coach/mentor in certain areas upon requirement

· Initiate and drive continuos improvement in the unit as well as the whole function

· Drive Innovation

· Requirement process owner for the development of Packet Core Network Products

· Drive and support Market Unit activities

· Drive and support Standardization (locally CCSA and globally 3GPP)

· Implement R&D strategies in daily management activities, ensure the planned progress of achieving balance score card objectives

· Responsible for unit cost management inclusive of line forecasting and product forecasting when required

· Be part of the Technology and Portfolio leadership team

Minimum Qualififcation & Experience Requirements

· BSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge.

Preferred Qualification & Experience Requirements

· MBA with strong technical background in Telecommunications

· 10+ years Industry Experience

· System and Software Development (Black & White Box)
