The Role
Network Consulting Engineer, PS Core Network ensures all network planning and design solution deliveries to customers are made in a professional manner and achieve customer satisfaction during both the pre-sale support and project execution phases. While design solution implementation and integration, the engineer provide I &V support to verify the solution is working according to the design specifications.
The Job
To perform network planning and design, optimization and performance audit for the packet switched network and IP products in Mobile System.
To perform network optimization including investigating network performance and issuing, discussing and / or implementing recommendations
To lead knowledge on a specific area within the unit and make appropriate decision
To transfer and share knowledge with other colleagues openly and with initiative
To evaluate new technology performance in lab and field environment

Qualifications
Degree holder in Telecommunication / Information Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in Telecom industry with solid knowledge of GSM/GPRS, WCDMA/HSPA and IP technology, as well as good understanding of LTE
In-depth knowledge of core network design, planning and optimization
Proficient in core network performance monitoring and analysis tools
Strong in GPRS, Firewall and Router; familiar with Radius, DNS and DHCP
Cisco / Juniper certification is an added advantage
Knowledge of Extreme and Redback product is a definite asset.
Good at customer handling, presentation and negotiation skills
A good team player with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
Self initiative, independent and able to work under pressure
Strong passion in learning new technologies and willing to share knowledge with colleagues
Fluent in spoken & written English and Cantonese. Mandarin speaking is a plus.
Willing to travel and work aboard if necessary
Applicants with less experience would be considered as Assistant Engineer; while those possess higher qualification could apply as Experienced or Senior Engineer.
