Sr. QE engineer for Mobile App is responsible for test script design, creating test strategies, and test execution. As a member of agile product team, tests features and functionality, and works with the product owner to ensure that user stories conform to acceptance criteria.

Responsibility

Participate in manual, exploratory test activities as part of an agile product team for mobile app. Tests on IOS and Android platforms.

Partner with team members to understand functional requirements and product specifications.

Solid understanding of test case management with understanding of how to create effective and concise manual test cases.

Create and execute test cases from test case management repository in non-production and production environments.

Review, document, and report test results.

Submit, validate, manage, and close defects using defect tracking applications.

Work with Agile team members to ensure test requirements are met prior to advancing changes into the release pipeline.

Actively contribute to scrum and other team meetings.

Mentor junior QA team members in QA best practices.

 

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Requirement

BS degree above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years’ work experience in QA and 3+ years’ work experience on APP testing.

Familiar with kinds of test tools of APP testing. Like APP simulators, APP cloud testing, etc.

Strong test case management and manual QA testing experience.

Experience in a structured software testing environment a must.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment preferred.

Experience working on APP automation testing preferred.

Experience with script language development, such as Python, Shell, Ruby is a plus.

Experience with PL/SQL, SQL, Oracle, or other database technologies preferred.

Solid understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong technical writing and communication skills

Familiar with Continuous Integration and related tools.

Understanding of Configuration Management processes.
