Job Title: Robotic and Automation Engineer
Reports to: Manager of Robotic Welding
Location: Shanghai
Business Unit: Adient
Subordinate: 0

Responsibilities:
  1. Designing and reviewing the Robert equipment for Arc welding, Resistance welding and Laser welding
  2. Estimate loading times, ergonomic issues, line balancing and total robot cycle time
  3. Interface with the Electrical Engineers, Industrial Engineers and the Welding Engineers to develop welding equipment that is compatible to company’s standard
  4. Work with the JV plants with training and to incorporate changes as new technology and improvement’s become neededInterface with Adient teams from Europe and America
  5. Develop and improve Adient weld equipment standards with respect to safety and performance
  6. Write reports (in English) with respect to tooling status and improvements to upper management

Requirement:
  1. 4 to 10 years’ experience in tooling design
  2. Proficient in programming PLC and Fanuc PMC controllers
  3. Fluent English both in oral and writing
  4. Good communication skills required and must be able to work well with teams from many different areas of China and the world
  5. Must be a self-starter and/or as part of a team (both China and International)
  6. Can accept high travel rate if necessary
