DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description

Develop embedded software for intelligent lighting products



Responsibilities

* Firmware design requirements analysis based on inputs from
business/marketing groups and system architects.

* Embedded system software design to support lighting products,
including firmware coding and debugging with electronic engineer, and
algorithm implementation by programming according to functional
requirements

* Conduct detailed design efforts. Closely monitor detailed design
progress and publish status report timely.

* Provide expertise support to electronic engineer and
system engineer for detailed system level design proposal.

* Maintain software development environment, including: maintain
state-of-the-art toolset; solve compatibility issues among different
software systems



Qualifications:

Education:

A recognized Bachelor degree or above on Electrical and/or Electronic
Engineering and/or Software Engineering;



Working experience:

* More than 8 years working experience in embedded software development

* More than 5-year assembly/C/C++ programming experiences

* Proficient in MCU (ATMEL AVR, TI MSP430 etc.) firmware development

* Proficient in I/F protocols: SPI, I2C, URAT, Memory bus, USB,
DMX/DALI etc.

* Proficient in embedded OS (linux, etc.) kernel, including memory
management, system call, process scheduling, IPC, etc.

* Have experiences of cross-platform architecture design is a plus,
i.e. cross MCU, cross OS, etc.

* Having experiences of OSI based network protocol or architecture
design is a plus, i.e. layer definitions (MAC, NWK, etc.), service
primitives, network management, etc.

* Having experiences of hardware design is a plus. Knowledge on DC/DC,
LDO and digital/analog circuit.

* Having experiences of lighting products design is a plus.
