职位描述：
We are looking for a multi-disciplinary designer to help us make the most beautiful and useful maps in the world. Mapbox's cartography team is responsible for every aspect of our maps – from the data processing that provides our platform's backbone, to the styling of both our Mapbox platform and custom client maps, to drawing production-quality icons. We are looking to add a designer inspired by the full range of cartographic challenges to our Shanghai office.

Qualities we're looking for

Must love maps. Mapbox's cartography team is a merry band of artists, graphic designers, landscape architects, and furniture makers united by their love of maps. These diverse backgrounds are our strength, and the position's only prerequisites are a creative engagement with maps, and a passion for defining and designing their future. We look forward to hearing from people who do not have professional experience or formal training in cartography and who, like most of the cartography team prior to joining Mapbox, may never have thought of joining a cartography team.
A storyteller. Each map tells a different story and serves a different purpose. We are looking for designers inspired to both delve into a map's data and fine tune its design to communicate narrative and purpose to our users.
A desire to grow. Designing great maps requires a broad range of skills, from typography to coding, and we need people with a desire to grow their skills to meet the wide breadth of work done by the cartography team.
Hands-on mindset. Mapbox is moving quickly, and we need people eager to jump in and start building right away. You will need to teach, learn from, and build with the broad range of teams and people at Mapbox to help get product out the door.
We emphasize teaching & learning; expect to start building upon your existing skills by working on map design projects, and look forward to eventually working in new areas.
