Accounting Manager

_Based in Guangzhou

This individual will lead the accounting and financial reporting activities of the Guangzhou, China office. She/he will ensure that all accounting policies and processes are fully applied and well controlled. Key activities include, but are not limited to:

? Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial reporting package for the Guangzhou operation including balance sheet and income statement along with related supporting schedules and account reconciliations.
? In support of the above, manage the activities of third party accounting service provider.
? Establish, and ensure compliance with, relevant financial controls to ensure the accuracy of the financial results of the business with particular emphasis on
o Revenue recognition
o Cost of goods sold
o Warranty costs
o Fixed assets and related additions, disposals and depreciation
o General accruals, including vacation and bonus
? Ensure customer invoices are prepared in a timely/accurate manner and consistent with contractual pricing arrangements.
? Monitor accounts receivable to ensure that all customer payments are received consistent with credit arrangements.
? Ensure customer letters of credit are accurately prepared, issued by the customer bank prior to shipment of goods, and all support required to collect on the letters of credit is submitted on a timely basis.
? Generate and issue related party billings consistent with relevant intercompany agreements.
? Manage all tax related activities, including
o Preparation of finance statement for tax bureau
o Manage input into the Golden Tax System and ensure compliance with the China VAT billing regulations
o Combine input tax credits with VAT collected, and file VAT returns consistent with the China tax regulations
o Input required for quarterly and annual income tax returns
? Support of quarterly reviews and annual audits by external auditors.
? Plan and support annual statutory audit.
? Maintain reconciliation between financial statements prepared in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
? Manage the activities of Accounts Payable Accountant and other general accounting staff as needed.
? Coordinate with Corporate Finance on critical accounting issues and provide accounting guidance to business partners.
? Coordinate with Corporate Purchasing to ensure compliance with existing purchasing policies and procedures.
? Assist with the implementation of internal controls, ensure compliance with all established controls and support Internal Audit’s quarterly internal control review procedures.
? Assist with the evaluation and implementation of Oracle as the long term ERP solution.
? Payroll oversight

Qualifications:

? Bachelor degree or above in Finance/Accounting, Qualified from well recognized university
? CPA/ACCA (or equivalent local accounting certificate)
? 10+ years of finance/accounting experience in a multinational environment
? Strong Excel skills
? Strong English speaking capabilities
? Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP system desirable
? Proper people management skill and ability to lead team to solve problems and make improvements
