Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with component manufacturers, distributors and EMS companies (Data Sources) with the goal of gathering source technical data for technical content development.

Responsibilities:
1. Source discovery and development
- Search for and locate appropriate component and manufacturing data sources inside China and outside China,
- Assist design team in the forming decisions about which component and manufacturing data sources will best fit Altium customer needs and Altium's strategic vision,
- Develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders inside component data source companies,
- Conduct negotiation of costs and lead-time during purchasing tasks in both prototyping and production to meet company best interests.
2. Source qualification
- Qualify and short list component data sources according to needs of Altium and its customers,
- Ensure component and manufacturing data sources meet appropriate domestic and (where applicable) international compliance and regulatory guidelines,
- Ensure component and manufacturing data sources meet Altium quality and environmental expectations.
3. Source information management
- Create and manage proposals, plans and agreements to share supply chain and component data between Altium, component and manufacturing data sources, and Altium customers
- Work to build a suitable 'technical content pipeline' for Altium Content teams to use to develop technical content.
- Assist in communication and translation between Altium staff and staff within component and manufacturing data sources as needed.
- Assist in translation ('internationalisation') efforts where needed.
4. Guideline and process development
- Assist in the development and maintenance of process and guideline documentation for component and manufacturing data source discovery, development, qualification and information management.
5. Reporting and Altium QA
- Provide reporting and feedback to internal and external stakeholders as required by Altium,
- Ensure published technical content meets the expectations of Altium management, our customers, and external stakeholders.
6. Training and mentoring
- Assisting the development and mentoring of team members both in China and in other offices.
- Continually remain up to date and improve work related knowledge and skills through self directed learning, attendance of relevant; seminars, trade shows and training courses.
