JOB TITLE: IT monitoring staff- ED&N (Event Detection and Notification)
LOCATION: Shanghai, China

This role is responsible for monitor, detect and correlate the events (alarms) reported by Altium monitoring methods (automatic tools, users' information, manual checks, etc.) in scope of Networks, Servers and Applications that provide Altium's Services on 24x7 basis. ED&N is in charge of receiving all the events and categorize, prioritize, filter, correlate, create trends, create patterns, manage rules, etc. based on ITIL Event Management, processes and internal step-by-step support procedures.

Job Responsibilities:
- Sub-processes and process objectives:
- Manage all the Monitoring Stations;
- Maintenance of Event Monitoring Mechanisms and Rules;
- Event Filtering, Level Correlation and Response Selection;
- Event Review and Closure;
- Investigate and propose new processes and procedures on our technologies;
- Manage, relate and update the CMDB when appropriate. All the items are kept in a CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase) that needs to be maintained when a change occurs;
- Provide operational 24x7 (as a team on shifts) support for customers, maintaining uptimes, as per Altium's contractual Service Level Agreements (SLA);
- Need to perform end-to-end follow-ups of troubleshooting actions;
- All the events that cannot be resolved will be escalated to the next level of support.
- Network checks (Ping, tracert, alive, latency...)
- Server checks (CPU, RAM, DISK...)

Requirements:

Knowledge:
- Basic Networking, LAN, WAN, IP knowledge;
- Basic Experience in Windows Environments;
- Basic Experience in Linux Operating Systems and MAC OS;
- Understand Virtualization of systems;
- Basic Knowledge of Hardware technologies;
- ITIL process is a plus;
- Internet technology and application;
- Office Suit application.
