Key Responsibilities and Activities:
· Using appropriate interpersonal styles to gain acceptance of ideas and value propositions; consistently modifies one's behavior/interpersonal style to audience -- able to "think and react."
· Identify critical leverage points, compromise and final fall back position in a negotiation.
· Thoroughly understands impact of commercial terms for both parties and able to deliver highest value.
· Successful track record of managing territory/portfolio profitability through product mix, increasing price and market share.
· Demonstrates market savvy through transferring technology solutions to marketplace.
· Thorough understanding of existing product lines, applications and the need to manage product portfolio.
· Proficient in value quantification and cost-in-use-principals.
· Leads by example in selling innovation.
· Develops proactive plans to prevent competitive threats. Successful track record of developing and executing territory plans.
· Contributes to development of team strategy.
· Solicits input from other functional areas and utilizes experience and internal network to successfully resolve customer issues.
· Understands cost implications of solutions.
· Demonstrated knowledge of customer processes.
· Implicitly understands customer culture and anticipates their needs.
· Proven track record of innovative product and process solutions.
· Develops network of key decision markers at customers.
· Monitors, trains and provides consistent and ongoing day-to-day performance feedback to sales professionals.
