Job Title: Shanghai Design Center Director
Reporting to: Global Design VP/GM
Main Responsibilities:
Purpose - This position will be take charge of leading, managing and growing Aavid's Design Center in Shanghai. Duties include, but are not limited to: design center strategy to support company business strategy and growth objectives, hiring guiding and mentoring of personnel associated with delivering the design center services, design engineering systems and capabilities development, design services marketing strategy, key account relationships, relationships with other Company design centers.
l Lead and manage the site design center team by ensuring each team member is fulfilling their duties in terms of utilization, career development
l Responsible to recruit, coach and grow the site design center team;
l Ensure management business process objectives are adhered to in compliance with Aavid's business processes;
l Manage client/customer relationships, both internally and externally;
l Responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of assigned design projects, which are allocated to the design team;
l Continuously set and improve practice and procedures to guide and develop the design center;
l Review and improve key processes;
l Work with the Sales Team to maintain and develop new customers;
l Identify areas for potential products and services innovation and growth;
l Identify and stay up-to-date with the market and the competition, perform market and competition analysis when needed.
Qualification & Experiences:
l Master's degree or above in mechanical engineering or thermal engineering field;
l 7 - 10 years' working experience in related area with 3 years' management experience;
l Experience with account management or business development would be a plus;
l Strong people management skills and project management skills, able to work multiple complex projects and deliver on time to tight schedules;
l Outgoing personality, able to interface and work with various kinds of people;
l Ability and willingness to travel;
l Does not need to be a thermal expert, but have good learning skills, willing to study the thermal industry;
l Good English in both verbal and written.
