Fownes Brothers & Co., Inc., founded in 1777 and based in New York City, has been a premier glove manufacturer for over 200 years. Today, Fownes Brothers is at the forefront of the conductive leather and fabric industry with their U/R Powered branded products available at many major retail outlets such as Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdales, Von Maur, Nordstroms & Dillards.
Key responsibilities:
? Help suppliers on how to understanding and comply with Fownes Quality Standards & Requirements in the best way.
?Help suppliers on how to understanding and comply with testing protocols of various customers
? Co-ordinate with the Merchandising team/Sourcing team regarding Physical & Restricted substances testing status
? Ensure Product safety / issues of new products are identified and rectified before samples are confirmed
?Request/Collect testing sample from supplier and submit to Lab
? Initiate & follow up external lab tests result
 ? Review and analyze the failure of product testing results with suppliers and provide professional advice as required
We are looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:
? Bachelor degree, major in Mechanical engineering or chemistry is preferred
? At least 1 years relevant experience of textile industry: Yarn/Fabric/Garment/Accessory/Chemistry or related disciplines
? Experience of EU/US regulation, standards and testing methods regarding consumer products
? Positive, proactive, business minded and quality conscious
? Good communication skill
? Good command of written and oral English
? Team work spirit, detail oriented.
?Familiar with Microsoft office software MS Word and Excel. 举报 分享

Fownes Brothers and Co., Inc. was established in 1777 by John and Thomas Fownes in the English city of Worcester; a prosperous and prestigious glove trade center. Fownes Brothers entered the American market in 1887 with a sales office in New York City. The New York office is maintained to this day and has become the global headquarters for sales, merchandising and design.
Fownes Brothers established manufacturing facilities in Gloversville and Amsterdam, N.Y. in 1903. In the late 1950’s manufacturing shifted from the US and the Caribbean basin, to the Far East. First came the Philippines in 1959, then Southern China in 1984.
Both facilities are still in operation to this day.
With a growing international business, Fownes established an office in Shanghai in 2002 to address the needs of its global customers. In addition to offering comprehensive sales, merchandising and design services, the Shanghai office coordinates sourcing, quality control, quality assurance, product development, and production logistics for all Asian operations.
