Primary Responsibilities
? Ensures that all assets (desktop, laptop, server, storage, software etc) are effectively entered and maintained in the Asset Management System with detailed information: Location, Asset tag, PO number, purchase price, serial number, warranty start date, warranty end date etc.
? Works with the IT and Logistics’ teams on the Infrastructure capital budget. Tracks and assigns hardware asset(s) to the correct end user during the time of purchase and receipt.
? Re-assign any returned or maintenance assets to "In Stock or Decommission" status, as required. Ensures decommission and EOL hardware is physically disposed of and financially written off on a regular basis.
? Performs analysis of and increase the accuracy of the asset management system by ensuring additional / decommissions are documented, keeping the inventories updated with changes, identification of ownership of each Virtual and Physical Device and making proactive recommendations to achieve better cost management or process efficiencies.
? Ensures Capex and Opex req. raised in Oracle are proceeded under right budget code, cost center, involve right person to approve, etc. Ensures the purchase process is in accord with local procurement/accounting process.
? Identifies / recommend / implement opportunities for cost reduction or efficiencies for IT related procurement: Capital, peripherals, maintenance & service etc.
? Builds and maintains effective relationships with the established Logistics Vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are measured and reviewed periodically.
? Monitors/prioritizes the assigned request items/tasks to ensure the successful completion in alignment with established SLAs.
? Evaluates current process to get it localized with slightly adjustment per regional requirements, optimize the process to improve the efficiency.
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree
? 3-5 years working experience on asset management, purchasing or order management is preferred
? Capable of reading, writing and speaking English fluently
? Solid MS Office skills including Excel, Word and Power Point
? Experience with Enterprise Maintenance with Dell, HP, and EMC preferred
? Experience with HP Asset Manager, RHO, Satellite, or similar discovery tool beneficial
? Software compliance experience is a plus.
