The Position
the Title: Plant Manager – ANH Xinghuo Feed Premix

reporting line: Premix Operation Director – ANH China

Department: Production / Feed Premix

Purpose of the job 工作目的
To manage ANH XingHuo Feed Premix Plant and Mixed Feed Additive Plant operations at the lowest cost and in conformity with SHE requirements, best practices and other relevant laws and regulations. Ensure plant is maintained and has capacity available for required and forecasted production demand.

Operationally, this includes production scheduling, workforce allocation, acquisition of production
resources, QC and analytical support, SAP/ systems management, plant optimization, budgeting/ planning and leadership of plant production team.

The Challenge
1. Production Management
? Work force allocation to ensure optimised costs around required shift work.
? Daily production scheduling and sequencing to ensure production efficiency and product safety.
? Ensure that QC and analytical support are available to guarantee DNP quality standards are met.
? Management and development of SAP/ PCS system to ensure effective operation of the plant.

2. Cost Management
? Maintain cost control within budget.

3. Process Improvement
? Remove bottlenecks to ensure throughput targets can be met.
? Ensure ongoing improvement of quality levels
? Successful and timely completion of projects (including new equipment installations).

4. Quality Standards
? ANH Xinghuo Plant Manager has to pay regular visits to distributors and customers to know their further and potential requirements and also communicate clearly to customers regarding DNP unique production / quality standards to ensure premium prices are achieved and maintained.
? Develop and keep up to date high quality presentations about our operations to customers during visits and audits.
? Achievement of quality standards such as ISO 9000, HACCP, ISO 14000 and updating of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure such standards can be met by operational staff.
? Together with the appropriate functional team members such as logistics or QA/QC ensure effective resolution of customer complaints to minimise financial exposure or reputation damage to DNP.

5. Supply Chain Management
? Operations of the premix plant warehouse to ensure sufficient stocks are maintained while minimising the risk of expired goods.
? Finished goods stocking and delivering management
? Ensure raw materials are correctly stored and checked in line with quality management
projects.

6. Personnel
? Lead plant personnel to strive for production excellence with a culture for striving for improvement.
? Ensure the short-term and long-term availability of a competent workforce with high working morale.
? Ensure good training in all aspects of plant operations, DSM SHE and core values.

7. Maintenance
? Ensure plant is properly maintained including high level of cleanliness and tidiness of entire facility to ensure DNP’s continued leadership of this sector in China.

8. SHE
? Ensure compliance with all SHE requirements including incident reporting, change management and improvements.
? During XingHuo plant maintenance and capacity development, ensure external contractors are trained, meet and adhere to DSM SHE requirements.

9. Security
? Follow DSM security policy and requirements to do gap-analysis regularly and make action plan at responsible department.
? Translate policy into own work plan within department
? Training and coaching to first line supervisor and make sure policies are understood
? Ensure all operational controls are in place，including but not limited at: implementation of
- objects management;
- key management;
- information management;
- physical control of area/building

10. ANH Management Team Responsibilities
? As a key member of the management team of ANH, active participation in premix meetings and well as ANH general strategy meetings and good inputs to support premix business.

11. HR
? Execute HR policies and procedures in the production organization (recruitment, appraisal, development, training, etc.).

12.Complexity of the job工作的复杂性
? As Planore difficult comparing with other ANH China sites.
? As member of Xinghuo Site Management Team, this position holder must have fluent English skills so as to maintain relations with Site MT, and to receive foreign customers/colleagues.
? Many standards have to be maintained and adhered such as ISO, HACCP, legal, regulatory and individual customers. There is often a need to reconcile different and sometimes conflicting requirements for the same production line while maintaining DNP production quality guidelines.
? The drive for plant or cost optimisation vs market norms need to be balanced in terms of raw material quality, production methods and packaging.
? DNP frequently drive new concepts into the market via blends, which means DNP is normally the benchmark and need to adapt production accordingly.
? Keep the balance within production, quality and SHEt Manager who is in charge of both Feed Premix Plant and Mixed Feed Additive Plant, must keep communication and improve relations with 3 products (Concentrate, Premix and Additives) business lines, that lead this position is m is becoming more complex during a rapid period of growth. Premix output was increased from ~3,000 tons in 2003 up to 21,000 tons in 2006 requiring frequent modification to the plant and the working environment. This will continue for the period of CSD implementation.
? Cross functional communications between Xinghuo site organisation, DNP ANH and DNP project groups in Singapore and Basel require constant communication.

? Supporting in Supply Chain Management and raw material evaluation / acceptance.
? Plant Maintenance

The Ideal
? bachelor degree or above of Engineering/ Chemistry/ Nutritional Science or related
? Production expertise, Good in Oral and Written English , know well SAP systems
? 8+ years in production of nutrition related products, preferably premix
