Our purchasing department is a strategic and profit generating function within our company. Our vision is that Volvo Penta Purchasing shall perform better than any competitor by purchasing the best value for our customers. Volvo Penta Purchasing have the responsibility to manage all external sourcing for the Volvo Penta business. Setting clear and challenging goals, and follow-up the execution of the strategies and activities to achieve the goals, are vital parts of our success.

In the function “Supplier Quality Assurance, Volvo Penta China” within the Volvo Penta Global Purchasing organization, your focus will be to lead and coordinate the quality assurance activities towards our suppliers. The operative responsibilities will be to secure the quality assurance of purchased material in projects and in connection with other changes. Support purchasers to find and approve new suppliers. Support production and quality teams with supplier quality issues.

Develop the suppliers to be more competitive (quality, efficiency, cost).

Many activities and initiatives will be performed in close cooperation with other Business Areas within AB Volvo.

Qualifications

• University degree
• Documented experience from quality work and methods (ISO/TS 16949, APQP/PPAP).
• Technical education and understanding (understanding drawings and other

technical documentation).

• Desirable with experience from production and automotive industry.
• Fluent in local language, both written and spoken
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
