Job Description:

Provides full product validation test support for well specified automotive electronics products with some guidance by more senior Validation Test Engineers.
· Completes Validation Engineering related tasks on automotive electronics products. Tasks include holding validation kick-off meetings, developing reliability test plans, developing/driving the completion of EMC test plans, holding validation readiness reviews, scheduling and driving test completion with internal and external labs, completing required test reports, opening and assigning Corrective Action Reports (8Ds, 7Ps, etc...)
· On complex programs, may complete the Validation Engineering related tasks on a portion of the overall product.
· Provides scheduling of engineering evaluations with internal/external labs. Provides recommendation and review of potential tests to be executed. Seeks opportunities to eliminate unnecessary/redundant testing.
· Attends program design reviews. Uses technical training experience to identify potential reliability concerns.
· Participates in continual improvement activities
Reviews Validation Engineering and Validation Test related processes and procedures for applicability. May recommend improvements.

Qualification:

· Typically, BS in an engineering discipline, chemistry, or physics
· Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area as well as a basic knowledge of validation testing (types of tests conducted, equipment required, typical validation flows, etc...).
· Demonstrates the ability to learn
· Proficient oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrates team skills.
· Has the ability to multitask (working on multiple projects concurrently or working on multiple aspects of the same project).
· Begins to acquire knowledge of processes outside of product validation
· Typically up to 4 years of successful experience in engineering field and successful demonstration items as presented above.
· Advanced degree may be substituted for experience.
