BASIC FUNCTIONS
1. Provide technical service and support as required by manufacturing;
2. Supervises, plans, and monitors Production Department operations to produce a quality product and meet schedules;
3. Maintains productivity standards in the most efficient and safe manner possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Assures product quality standards are achieved per established requirements. Assures compliance through proper use of approved measurement equipment and techniques;
2. Assure department production schedule are met by proper work assignment, work loads and hours, including overtime;
3. Maintains accurate floor stock inventories and expedites raw materials as required. Requires a working knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts and AMAPS (Advanced Manufacturing Accounting Production System);
4. Communicates daily with production members on matters such as, performance, schedule completion and team/department goals. Coaches and assesses member performance through the performance review process;
5. Observes, first hand, the department operations and conditions. Maintains the general security of the department;
6. Assures that department operations are properly documented per the Haworth Quality System/ISO 9001 requirements. Coaches and assures that operators are properly trained in job, operational, inspection and safety requirements;
7. Monitors department scrap, rework and quality performance. Initiates corrective action to resolve quality and productivity issues;
8. Leads and participates in Safety and 5S Program, Problem Solving and other continuous improvement activities with department members, as well as, interdepartmental and cross functional teams.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge of operations and equipment which relate to the area of responsibility;
2. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use prevision measuring instrument;
3. PC skills (MS Office applications) are required;
4. Good communication to internal & external customers, very good organization, leadership skills;
5. Fluent in both written and spoken English;
6. A university or college degree in Engineering or equivalent;
7. A minimum of 3 years engineering and manufacturing working experience;
8. A minimum of 2 years supervisor experience.
