Official Title: Key Account Manager-South China-Performance Polymers
Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)
Purpose of the position:
Responsible for Personal Care multi-national Key Account and other regional accounts as assigned in South China
This responsibility includes budgets, forecasting, customer account strategies and sales development.
Proactively manage existing business, and work to develop new opportunities through interaction with customer Purchasing, Technical, and Manufacturing staff. Communicate and interact with the Global Key Account Managers to help develop and support implementation of strategies and business planning. Lead regional customer project teams to ensure proper implementation and positive results.
Responsibility:
Grow Sales and Profitability of Key Accounts using frequent customer contact to identify opportunities, manage and enhance relationships, and resolve issues
Develop regional account strategies and tactics in coordination with Global KA staff, and follow through on effective implementation.
Internal communication via customer reports, emails, and phone on a daily basis to all global interested parties, updates on KA needs, opportunities and competitive activities and technologies
Requirements:
Very knowledgeable about personal care formulation, and very familiar with chemical properties and functions of key personal care ingredients such as conditioners, surfactants, emollients, emulsifiers, thickeners and actives.
Must have strong self-motivation and drive for excellence. He/she must plan and organize his/her own activities, input and result of his/her jobs. He/she must closely with technical, customer services colleagues to achieve good results.
Has big autonomy in terms of planning its own activities and reaching its goals. But on very critical issues such as pricing, he needs to discuss and coordinate with supervisors. His/her Typical role is between decision initiator and decision maker.
Performance will be measured by gross margin, sales value and value of new ingredients sales
Strong inter-personal communication skill, strong influence, good presentation skills. He must be a good sales person to effective introduce product advantages and benefit to customers. He must have strong networking skill to maintain continuous good relationship with customers, traders, industry associations and colleagues.
Be mature enough to handle tough problems and complaints, and satisfy customers' needs. He/she needs to follow our procedures and policies but also needs to be innovative in handling various complicated situations.
Direct working experience with multi-national consumer product companies, international exposure, and foreign language desired.
All MS office programs, SAP, CRM desired, Lotus notes.
Mini Education level: Bachelor
Major preferred: BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent in related fields
Minimun working year:8 years in the chemical industry, with minimum 5 years in sales and marketing roles.
Language skill:Good English.
Preferred working experience:Sales Experience with main global accounts is preferred, like P&G, Avon, etc.
