Job Overview
Shorelight Education is seeking dynamic individuals to execute our student/agent enquiry and pre-arrival activities in Greater China region.
Based in our regional offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou; the regional based Enrollment Service Advisors will work as part of a highly motivated professional team.
The Enrolment Service Advisor assists agents, prospective international students and their families with the application, financial, visa and pre-arrival processes to our partner universities and surrounding communities.
A large proportion of the role will be speaking with applicants, parents and agents via online chat platform, email, telephone on a daily basis therefore excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
This position works closely with the regional recruitment teams, marketing team and Shorelight’s partner campus teams to provide a student focused, optimal learning experience and services that lead to student success.
The position directly reports to the Enrolment Service Manager, dotted line to Regional Recruitment Manager.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include:
- Follow up direct leads from Shorelight partner’s website, recruitment events, campus referral etc., and guide through the whole application procedure.
- Facilitate and maintain regional agent/student online enquiry platforms
- Support regional offer conversion campaign, via hub-spot emails, online chat platform, social medias or phone calls to reach individual applicant.
- Support regional team providing key partner’s VIP service, including tailor made offer reports, regular update of deposits, and in agent office visit tracking status etc.
- Provide a pre-departure concierge service engaging students, parents, campus team and alumni
- Facilitate payments of tuition and other associated fees
- Confirm student study plans, help prepare for arrival, and provide end-to-end travel support
- Working with agents/students and their families to complete and submit pre-arrival forms and documentation to campuses
- Assist with the planning and implementation of pre-departure events
- Attending online/offline pre-departure events in region if required
- Assist student’s visa preparation, or provide visa re-submission support
- Build a strong rapport with potential and existing applicants
- Provide ongoing updates and reports to the ES Manager and Regional team
- Maintain a database of assigned students to track their status and progress toward arrival
- Serve as the go to contact for all agents and students in the pre-arrival phase
Measures of success:
- Drive direct applications
- Drive conversion from offer to deposit in the region
- Drive conversion from deposit to enrolment in the region
- Increased pre-payments
- Increased visa issuance
- Submission of all pre-arrival documentation
Experience/Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with people from a wide variety of cultures backgrounds
- Excellent customer service and telephone manner
- Ability to foster collaboration and trust and inspire others to high levels of performance
- Engaging with customers face to face / by telephone / in writing
- Working both independently and as part of a team
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint
- Experience living, working, or studying overseas preferred
- Strong working knowledge of the following languages: English and Mandarin Chinese
