Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Manage overall logistics activities:
? Transform current operation module by implementing a central logistics & transportation role to support the region with the objective to drive savings.
? Design and develop supply chain options with analysis for future capacity expansion
? Participate in the negotiation of terms with customers (palletization, shipment, forwarding, ocean freighting, payment terms etc)
? Manage the service level agreement with producing locations (own, 3rd party, import).
? Manage ordering, shipment, rescheduling, billing, claims and returns
? Liaises with affiliate plants for shipment and back order status.
2. Warehousing and transportation management:
? Negotiate on the terms and contracts for service providers and 3PL.
? Work closely with importing team on delivery, promotional re-packaging, materials storage, ad hoc supply etc,
? Work closely with Great China quality and regulations team to meet global standard.
? Manage the inventory mix, level, quality and aging to meet business needs, and
? Handle all necessary stock reconciliations.
? Optimize the best solution to the organization.
3. Co-pack sub-contractors in various locations:
? Manages the purchasing of proprietary ingredients and packaging materials (including the management of ordering and delivery lead time, safety stock and necessary co-ordination of importation with co-packers),
? Manages and monitors the production re-scheduling of the co-pack sub-contractors for the active avoidance of un-necessarily high stock (of ingredient and packaging raw materials and finished goods) leading to eventual write off because of tight shelf life,
? Manages the specific shipment, insurance, palletization etc needs peculiar to co-pack sub-contracting.
4. Develop organization capability:
? Coach and motivate the logistics operations staff.
? Improve work supply chain work processes and build system capabilities
Job Qualifications
- University degree or above preferable in Logistics or related
- 5-10Y solid Supply Chain experience, preferably in a FMCG company?
- Solid knowledge of supply chain operations, Inventory Management; 3PL management (warehouse), and customer services;
- Skillful spreadsheet handlers capable of linking different data sets for management decision purposes : Sales History, Orders on Hand, Fulfillment, etc
- Multicultural perspective: ability to work across borders, understand cultural nuances and customs.
- Verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin and English
- Project or cross-functional taskforce management skills
- Knowledge of BPCS system is an added advantage
- Strategic orientation, ability to define opportunities/priorities with strong logic & reasoning
- Results orientation, ability to manage complexity and strong problem solving skills
- Self-confidence & integrity, ability to collaborate & influence a diverse group of stakeholders
- Self-awareness and genuine interest in people, ability to build a high performing team
- High personal presence and resourceful, ability to drive results with lean resources
- Comfort level with complexity and ambiguity, ability to lead changes
