RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the company in developing Apparel business plan / strategies at our Product Development Center.
- Lead the merchandising work flows, including product development, costing, material sourcing/purchasing, production plan to ensure Price, Delivery, Quality and Product Development (PDQD) are able to meet the standards and objectives set by the company.
- Work closely with all production departments to ensure quick resolution of issues as well as engage them in the overall company strategy.
- Develop a systematic and intelligence process to analyze product/operation. Drive improvement of standard procedures for Product Development Center.
- Build a lean and effective organization structure. Ensure adequate training and development is in place to meet the needs of the organization. Take a leading role in succession planning developing our future talents internally wherever possible with local hires.
- Develop effective communication systems on job requisition, work planning schedule, sample/product specifications and delivery timetable to enhance the productivity of the team.
- Set up performance / development plan for direct reports, review and evaluate performance. Provide guidance effectively for direct reports and coach the junior team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 8 years of ladies high fashion merchandising experience of which 3 years in managerial level (preferably has sample room / factory experiences and gained from sizable companies or brands).
- Good knowledge in both woven and cut & sewn knit order follow up, sample co-ordination and garment production plan.
- Excellent communication, planning, analytical and leadership skills.
- Good command of spoken & written English and Mandarin.
- Good understanding with factory operations is a MUST.
- Mature, responsible, self-motivated and able to work under pressure with tight timelines, with positive working attitude.
