职位描述

Official Title: lab chemist
Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)
Dep:Coating & Additives(涂料与添加剂)

Purpose of the position:
- Responsible for AT project management to ensure optimal achievement of organization objectives;
- Manage the AT lab activities including root cause analysis of customer complaints.

Principle of accountability:
Describe'what' task is performed,'why' it is performed and 'how' it is performed
- Plan, organize, implement and manage all the activities of the AT projects, such as patent- and literature investigation, experiment planning and implementation, write the project reports, ensure the timely and qualified delivery.
- Create new ideas, new methods and projects on the field of applications of acrylic monomers.
- Creatively perform the root cause analysis of quality complaints.
- Provide high-level support services to internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with related resources to solve the project management issues.


Requirements:
Describe knowledge in practical procedures, work skills, specialized knowledge and scientific disciplines, required to perform all the requite tasks and assignments on the job

- Bachlor or Master degree or in the field of polymer chemistry, material science.
- 2 years of experience working in the relevant field is preferred, but not absolutely necessary.
Describe the requirement to plan, organize and control activities and output of a work team to achieve specific objectives; or the skill needed to integrate and coordinate the work of multiple work units within the organization or with outside parties (Degussa Internal and External Interfaces)
- Organize and supervise internal and external resources, partners and consulting companies.
- Train and develop the junior staff
- Manage AT projects

1: How much autonomy or latitude does the position has in making job related decisions?
2: What is the typical role of the position? - Information Provider? or Decision Initiator? or Decision Reviewer? or Final reviewer or decision maker?
- Responsible for the assigned project management to ensure the fulfillment of project goal.
- Direct and control organization specific projects in project management.

- Ability to persuade miscellaneous parties to achieve the objectives
- Ability to positively interact with all levels of management, customers, suppliers, consulting, etc.
- Frequently sell professional recommendation and have to convince others (management, customers, etc.)

Mini Education level:Bachelor
Major preferred: polymer chemistry, macromolecular Chemistry, material science
Language skills: English Very Good
Minimum years in employment: 2 years
Preferred industry experience: project experience on the field of emulsion polymerization and solution polymerization.
