GENERAL SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for proposals & executing projects for Food & Beverage end market in China. Accountable to develop competitive F&B system proposals as well as projects execution to support Food & Beverage system business in China. This role will require interaction and engagement with F&B strategic sourcing, commercial, project and engineering and quality team. To ensure material to be delivered to the field to support projects.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

? Represent Procurement in all projects related activities (Proposals/Bids, Supplier selection and qualification CQA, Hand Over, production, realization, non-conformity, Installation, Commissioning…) cross countries upon project required.
? In line with the sourcing process, responsible for project specific (outside of the globally sourced commodities covered by global supply chain organization) equipment and services sourcing to support project time-scales, goals and objectives.
? Work with Proposal team to issue RFQ’s & obtain quotes from ASL to complete costing for Food & Beverage specific project
? Evaluate quotes from suppliers and ensure that SPX obtains competitive and complete solutions
? Ensure that supplier performance metrics are managed and maintained
? Ensure T@s & C’s are SPX standard. Where not proposed to be SPX standard; ensure that SPX legal departments as approved any/all changes in advance of agreeing with suppliers
? Work with engineering team to ensure detailed design specification is completed and make sure the latest specification is acknowledged by suppliers for quotation,
? Lead negotiations with qualified/identified suppliers for better prices and terms and conditions for material, goods and services by SPX global standard contract in place, and manage cost reduction against the project budget, improve cash flow.
? Drive LCC spend, maximizing SPX’s opportunities for coast savings while maintaining quality and delivery requirements
? Analyze & review all available DATA in order to focus immediate efforts on major spends in order to review savings targets.
? Ensure monthly savings & project trackers re completed and filed to senior management as required
? Drive cost savings to project and annual targets
? Maintain SCM project administration files (electronic, SAP and manual files as required)
? Maintain and update SAP as required
? Attend all project reviews as required to support the various project teams
? Developing suppliers’ auditing plan and execution with quality, engineering, PM, etc.
? Ensure there is a clear demarcation between PO actions/approvals. Ensure that appropriate authority has approved all Requisitions according DOA.
? Ensure timely & efficient purchasing process, expediting/push out, importation material and goods to be delivered to the project sites per project scheduling requirement.
? Work with PM (or nominated Site Supervisor) to coordinate site installation and commission services per contract and site scheduling requirement.
? Ensure that all contractors working on project sites are in full compliance with SPX Heath, safety and environmental management requirements
? Establish clear supplier databases and develop strategies to reduce/rationalize as appropriate.
? Mobilize and manage network cross-functionally and cross-divisionally and work in PE organization.
? Rollout of standard in IDEF’s (Integrated definition process), tracking realized costing against budgeting. Ensure compliance with IDEF procedures at all times
? Clear communication with internal stakeholders.
? Work with project managers to ensure that project close out includes returning all unused materials and equipment for cash refund or a credit. If not possible to return the goods and materials they should be either:
a) Offered to other SPX project teams
b) Scrapped for cash
? Compliance with SPX Health & Safety requirements either on SPX, supplier or Customer facilities.
? Ensure compliance with SPX code-of conduct at all times
? Any other duties as the company may see fit, provided the task/s lie within the skills and competencies of the individual.

EDUCATION and Qualifications
? Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain management, Engineering or Materials science, etc.
? Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in sourcing and supply chain, experience in Food & Beverage is plus.
