Finance Manager - M&E, China
The finance manager prepares and analyses managerial and financial reporting, for the China region, assists in customer billing, manages monthly forecasting and annual budgeting and other related responsibilities. The finance manager also assists management with establishment, implementation and realization of departmental goals and deadlines. The manager gives guidance and coordinates with the finance personnel responsible in other APAC countries like Singapore, India and Australia.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage overall financial accounting functions, including expenses, intercompany invoicing and allocations.
2. Overview of financial activities supporting the M&E team in China
3. Prepares balance sheet reconciliation accurately and timely where applicable
4. Manages and maintains records, files and documentation for account transactions in accordance with company record keeping retention guidelines.
5. Manages monthly client billings and updates forecast accordingly
6. Support SMM and other M&E pricing exercise
7. Manages journal records to record depreciation and amortization
8. Create and distributes financial and managerial reports. Ensures that all information is accurate and that reports are distributed according to schedule.
9. Upload of monthly figures to financial platform
10. Manages monthly forecasting and annual budgets including uploads to financial platform
11. Assume and performs other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in accounting / finance or related field, or related experience.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of accounting experience, with general ledger emphasis.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets required.
4. Proficiency in SAP BPC (now called EPM), preferred/required.
5. Knowledge of MICE industry preferred
6. Able to communicate in business English
7. Experience in working in a multi cultural environment (* Europe/ US) and a matrix organization.
