? Manage yard operations at DQ
? Relevant KPI's and targets are implemented for the site and regularly followed up on with the yard operators and carriers operating at the site
? Vehicles are stored, repaired and maintained at yards, compounds and terminals according to Volvo Car Corporation requirements
? Holds related to, or as an outcome of issues in production are managed and coordinated to secure that they are properly handled in the distribution flow
? Communicate outbound logistics related activities and their impact with DQ plants, external compounds and terminal operators
? Gather plant requirements for storage and handling and communicate them to the outbound logistics function
? Lead the activities to implement changes to a yard, compound or terminal location and secure coordination and involvement of local market and manufacturing representatives
? Prepare information and reports to on storage, repair and maintenance of finished vehicles and provide them to the relevant stakeholders
? Support the proper management of finished vehicle stock and related maintenance and repair materials at yard, compound and terminal locations
? Manage the requisition of materials & equipment required for distribution operations at DQ yards, compounds and terminals
? Support the implementation of damage prevention activities in the handling of vehicles during loading and unloading, shunting and storage of vehicle at a yard, compound or terminal location
? Manage yard operations at DQ
? Initiate, plan, prioritize and coordinate activities performed within the Distribution Planning & Operations function related to outbound logistics requirements defined by DQ plants, carriers and markets
? Manage and drive actions to closure which are needed to secure proper arrival and releasing of finished vehicles at yards, compounds, and terminals either managed by DQ personnel or an external operator
? Manage, Lead and coordinate the planning and coordination of shuttle transports for shipping markets from the factory yard to the terminal in time for vessel departure while maximizing the vehicles available per departure
? Regularly coordinate activities, update and gather input from yards, compounds, and terminals on inventory levels, and in/out registration of vehicles into the location
? Support the follow-up of vehicle damage and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent similar damage from occurring in the future.
? Participate in plant management forums as the representative of the storage and distribution areas which are located in the factory area
? Coordinate and support the outbound logistics area when quality holds and releases are made by the production plant in order to secure that the distribution process is secured.
? Coordinate and support central finance in stock-taking activities and monitor continuously stock levels to optimize storage areas and associated costs
? Strong leadership and communication skills
? Results-oriented and accountability
? Minimum of 5 years experience in logistics operations, planning and warehousing functions.
? Strong customer-focus and service mindset
? Strong English language skills, spoken and written
? Experience in inventory and terminal operations, and managing & leading teams
? Knowledge of inventory management and MRO processes
? Excellent track record as team player in large complex organizations
? Good understanding of transportation document and export requirements
? Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
? Experience working within a global context
