Basic Function:

Overall responsibility for specific product design (Drums & Rotors, Friction, Hydraulics or Chassis) and market plans for sale of Affinia's products in the Asian market.

·Determines the design for the positions specific product line for each targeted application

·Completes design drawings for each application and works with potential sources of supply to Affinia

·Work with the internal Marketing, Product Development, and Product Engineering groups in the United States for support to and insure consistency throughout the world.

·Direct, develop, implement and monitor marketing promotional programs to assist in the attainment of sales goals for the positions specific product line.

·Work with customers and installers on the sale and installation of the Affinia product

·Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Affinia Asia team.

Essential Functions:

·Assist in establishing the targeted applications that Affinia will offer in its line for each managers specific product line

·Research and develop designs for the targeted applications in the positions specific product line

·In coordination with Affinia's global sourcing strategies, develop supply (Affinia plants or outside partnerships) of the positions specific product line to the marketplace

·Develop packaging designs and supply that are consistent with Affinia worldwide but tailored to the Asian market.

·Assist in the establishment of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities of the Affinia brands in the Asia markets

·Coordinate the efforts of suppliers and Affinia personnel to successfully achieve Affinia sales objectives and financial objectives.

·Develop all branded point of sales materials, literature and sales tools for the positions specific product line .

·Assist in representing Affinia at targeted automotive parts trade shows in the Asian region

Education and Experience:

·Five years minimum experience in developing product plans and/or product engineering

·4 year university degree in engineering field

·Computer skills in Microsoft Office and computer aided design (CAD) applications

·Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and Mandarin

·Strong interpersonal skills that enable excellent interaction with customers, suppliers and management

·Automotive knowledge and experience a definite plus.
