Project Engineer
Job Duties
- Product development and production process analysis as needed
- Follow up the product from concept design to shipment
- Costing evaluation and control
- Working directly with vendor or supplier on process control
- Responsible to the product development status with corresponding action to tackle any problem that raise
- Responsible develop and maintain a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project
- Provide reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly
- Control expenditures within limitations of project budget
- Identify project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting organization managers
- Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages
- Assign and oversee project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing
- Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
- Coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems
- Direct integration of technical activities and products
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Provide status and progress reports to project team, and management
- Supervise Project Engineer(s) on the above activities.
- Other tasks may be assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in textile/mechanical engineering or equivalent from four-year college or university
- Minimum 7 years of related working experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years of toys & baby products, related job experience on Infant/Infant Care/Infant Feeding products, and project development experience (knowledge of European and US toys & baby products' safety standard is a must)
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English, preferably be strong in Shanghainese
- Capable of communicating directly with client in Chinese and English
- Proficient with Chinese and English version of Microsoft Office & CAD software
- PC knowledge of Engineering drawing and SolidWorks Viewer is required
