Software developer (软件工程师) Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS)


Your role
You will be assigned to a large variety of projects and work closely together with your team and your clients. Your job is to design and develop the best possible solutions in the field of complex planning and optimization issues. You will need to rely on your analytical capabilities, your ability to ‘solve the puzzle’ and your creativity to offer ‘best of breed’ solutions. You will be involved in the development process of applications. This ranges from the initial design, construction, testing, implementation, documentation and continued development of adjustments and improvements. We build our applications with Quintiq and AIMMS.


Your talent
? University degree in mathematics, computer science, information management, econometrics or physics, with interest in operations research or artificial intelligence.
? Programming experience with one or more high level languages (e.g. C, C++, C#, Java) and object-oriented modeling (e.g. UML).
? Knowledge of optimization techniques (linear programming, heuristic search algorithms, constraint programming, etc.).
? General knowledge of databases, such as Oracle and SQL server.
? Knowledge of software development methodologies (agile vs. waterfall) is considered a plus.
? Knowledge of integration technology such as Message queues, SOAP, XML is considered a plus.
? Internationally oriented. Excellent verbal and written command of English (CET6 or above) and Chinese. Flexible and prepared to make business trips to the headquarters in the Netherlands and within China.

Our other colleagues are specialists in software development, testing and other technical IT-matters, with knowledge and experience in operations research, model driven architecture and various advanced software tools.
