Remote Applications Engineer
We are looking for an ambitious Remote Applications Engineer for our sensor Business Unit, to drive further growth. The successful candidate will have good electronics knowledge, communication skills and be comfortable working in an agile, fast paced international organization. He/she will join our Shanghai team providing technical support to Chinese customers as well as developing reference designs and evaluation kits.
He/she should have high interest in integrated sensors in CMOS for automotive, medical, industrial and consumer applications. Experience with optical or thermal sensors or systems is a plus, but not a must. Have wireless experience will be priority.

Accountabilities:

Customer Support – Opportunity Support (90%)

- Support customer with industrialization of the IC in their production test with validated Hardware/Software .
- Provide Technical Training to the Melexis sales force and to customers in order to facilitate the design in activities at the customer.
- Build very good customer relations through their technical knowledge.
- Identify the best-fitting Melexis product, support and check customer purchase order to deliver the correct customer samples or evaluation material in-time.
- Perform independent Customer visits & Salesforce reporting.
- Proactively and independently remove all technical hurdles to get Salesforce opportunities fromqualified status to design-win.

Product (10%)

- Define and execute the application validation plan for a new IC, to ensure the product fits the customer application specs.
- Develop hardware and embedded software for customer demo, evaluation kit, reference design and write application notes, FAQ, independently without coaching by senior AE or PLM, and with timely reporting to internal customers.
- Build application know-how by finding and analyzing competitor products, requesting IC analysis, reverse engineer schematic & BOM and proactively provide report to PLM.
- Share proactively and cross-sites the acquired know-how with other AE's, PLM's, and with colleagues about product issues, market trends, customer solutions, competition.
- Support the Quality Team and Customer in the Failure Analysis process.
- Analyze the quality problem in the application to get the customer return solved and communicate timely with the customer.

Job Requirements

- Academic Engineering degree in electronics
- Strong Programming Capability like C/C++
- RF Experience is a MUST
- Fluency in English
- Commercial affinity and listening skills
- Business skills learning potential
- You are prepared to travel and to work under pressure, also including international
- Strong interest in technology
- Some embedded software affinity
