PURPOSE

To perform buyer risk consulting activities, in accordance with the Atradius Risk Services and Risk Management guidelines, in order to control risks and costs, to contribute to customers satisfaction.


PROFILE

- Ideally the successful candidate will have working experience of 3-4 years in the financial sector, especially in foreign bank handling credit control works.
- The candidate should have broad common knowledge on industries in P.R. China.
- The candidate should be able to analyse qualified or unqualified financial information
- The candidate should be able to evaluate buyer risks based on financial and non-financial information
- The candidate should have knowledge of balance sheets, cash flow, profit & loss accounts. A plus would be financial analysis skills and techniques.
- Bachelor degree or above, ideally the successful candidate will be in the possession of a bachelor degree in English language or in the financial field.
- The candidate must have excellent English communication skills - both oral and written.
- Ideally he/she has working/education experience in foreign countries or in multinational companies.
- The candidate must be computer literate.
- The candidate should be cooperative and self-motivated. Needs to be open minded as he will be dealing on a daily basis with people with a different cultural background.
- Candidate needs to be polyvalent and enjoy communicating as he might evolve towards a more customer-focused buyer-risk consulting role in the future.
- A flexible approach towards work will be required. The candidate will be trained on our computer systems and philosophy. The candidate must also be willing to travel in China (e.g. buyer visits)

OPERATIONAL

- Formulate a strategy on buyers by analysing financial statements or buyer reports. Trade sector information should also be taken into account. The consultant will use financial analyse techniques to analyse the accounts. Credit limit decision will be consulted to the buyer underwriters set authorities.
- Manage a portfolio of dedicated risks (monitor buyer, country & sector)
- Strategy will be set by processing buyer reviews, credit limits, claim monitor cases
- Strategy on a buyer will be set in BUS by completing a Buyer Review Submission Form
- Credit limits need to be processed by taking an informed view of the market, trade sector, customer specifics and all other available information (E.g. internet search, news letters, stock price development, etc)
- Build up a good working relationship with the consulting team based in other locations in Asia and Cardiff.This should be done via telephone, e-mail and a monthly conference call.
- In certain cases, it might be necessary that the consultants in China will be requested by his colleagues in other countries to search / translate information available in Chinese
- Need to build up trade sector experience. Sustain and improve the level of knowledge in own area by building relationships with internal and external customers
- Ensure best customer service (communication, risk-appetite, quality of decisions, speed of service)
- Be an Atradius Risk Services ambassador to internal/ external customers and third parties
