Job Description
EIRE Systems is looking for Desktop Support Engineers to work with our major international investment banking and professional services clients in Shanghai. We are looking for someone who is strong on client facing with positive attitude of identifying/managing/solving new problems in front of the desk. The candidate should be comfortable working without constant supervision and be capable of identifying and prioritizing tasks.
The key responsibilities are required as below.
First point of contact for user inquiries to ensure calls are resolved to the customer's satisfaction
Provide desktop support and incident resolution services, including installation, configuration, and upgrades of HW/SW.
Assist with implementation and support of regional and corporate wide technology initiatives, to ensure minimum business
disruption.
Implement change requests in accordance with release instructions to ensure that business needs are fully met.
Prepare and maintain accurate system documentation and technical procedures.
Seek to provide the highest level of customer service to the business units to enhance reputation of the Technology Group.
Required Skills
This is a wide-ranging position, with many opportunities to gain exposure to some of the latest technologies available on the financial services industries. You must confident in handling different levels of users and up to senior executives. With excellent in communication skills, you will have the chance to work in fast paced environments.
The key requirements will be as below.
Previous experience supporting Traders in Hedge Funds/Brokerages/Investment Banking highly regarded.
First level hardware and application support (PC/printers/phones/blackberry)
Physical setup/move/add/change of hardware and application
Good technical skills in Windows desktop environment
Customer facing experience (via telephone and in person) in a very demanding environment supporting a large user base,
preferably financial institution
In-depth experience of standard desktop applications in a Windows environment
In-depth knowledge in Active Directory, Citrix,Virtualization
General knowledge of Kerberos, SCOM and Win7
Good communication skills. Candidates should be excellent
communicators, with a high level of fluency in spoken and written English
