Job summary



· Support all aspects of aftermarket activities, for all company products, meeting and/or exceeding both internal and external Customer expectations. Utilizing a staff of technically educated and trained personnel to respond to customer related technical inquiries and training requirements, as well as the necessary scheduling and dispatching of service personnel to insure timely resolution of customer issues. Track and report field issues and coordinate their resolutions with required internal departments.



Essential duties and responsibilities

· Manage the Technical Support, Field Service and Training Groups.

· Assess service requirements and expectations of the customer base within the Asian regions, directing the scheduling of Service personnel to meet customer needs.

· Direct, approve and monitor department administrative policies and processes.

· Monitor the company's warranty expenditures and installation to determine problem areas and initiation of corrective actions.

· Review all Field Service Reports within BTU-Asia's region and coordinate the closure of all open customer issues in the most expeditious manner.

· Define standards and procedures use for technical information sharing of newly released functions and features specification, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting requirements, ensuring consistency within BTU's Services and Support functions worldwide.

· Direct the training and development of the BTU and third party service personnel in all aspects of BTU products and processes as applied to various industrial and scientific fields required to address all technical issues and faults encounter by the customers.

· Assists field service personnel in obtaining information on highly technical problems as presented by customers.

· Maintain and coordinate systems & processes by which machine repairs and maintenance covered by warranty can be readily determined.

· Design, develop and deliver formal training programs (comprising hard copy, lecture-lab and multi-media formats) for the on-site technical training of both internal and external customers.

· Performs other related duties of a similar nature and complexity as requested.

Skills and knowledge

· Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in both English and Chinese with experience in high pressure, fast paced service business

· Proficiency with various desktop PC software packages (Excel, Word, Power point, etc.)

· Analytical and statistical ability

· Proficiency with Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Mechanical and Plumbing systems

· Proficiency with Computer and PLC control systems



Education and experience

· BA, BS, EE, ME degree or equivalent education in a technical field.

· 5 Years experience in managing a direct technical service organization.

· Project Management experience.

· ISO 90001 Internal Audit Training

· Capital Equipment Experience
