IT Project Manager (Airport)

Location: Shanghai

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Effectively plan and manage the delivery of assigned projects
• Support as required to Sales & Service Management in review of opportunities, creation of solution proposals and associated project documentation, plans and estimates
• Develop professional relationships with customers and business
• Deliver assigned projects to agreed time, budget and quality through complete project lifecycles
• Manage and negotiate with suppliers, vendors and contractors as required for individual projects
• Demonstrate an ongoing good level of self-organization, motivation and management independence
• Pursue continuing professional growth in their business and project management knowledge and skills
• Contribute to the enhancement of T-Systems reputation for the professional delivery of projects and IT solutions
• Produce and maintain auditable project records and documentation using published templates; ensure such documentation is updated on agreed network locations as per published standards
• Effectively communicate project progress, financial status, issues and risks with stakeholders and own management; ensure timely escalation of such where necessary
• Provide timely and accurate input to internal data systems such as time recording systems
• Perform peer reviews of other projects as requested
• Adhere to, and where possible, contribute towards, the development of policies and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Has demonstrated an ability to form working relationships within organizations, to garner support for the smooth delivery of projects
• Relevant experience in the successful delivery of complex projects (volume > RMB 5 million) as a Project Manager in the area of Systems Integration (defined as development and implementation of software or the outsourcing of such activities), preferably in various technical environments (CRM, Java, Portal technologies, ...)
• Domain knowledge in Airport industry is a plus; specific knowledge in Aftersales, Wholesale and / or Retail markets is highly desirable
• Demonstrable familiarity of project management best practices and methodologies
• Has demonstrated good people leadership skills and ability to manage delivery teams of project resources at various levels and from different sources (own staff, subcontractors etc.)
• A good degree of personal drive, autonomy and organizational astuteness would typically be expected, together with good customer handling skills and commercial awareness
• Pursues continual professional growth in their knowledge and skills.
• Would typically hold a formal qualification from an appropriate project management professional body, e. g. PMI or Prince2
• High proficient PC Skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft

PROJECT

• Good communicator, both written & oral, up to management level
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self-starter, assertive, taking responsibility
• High level of loyalty
• International experience or experience in MNCs is desirable
• Fluent in Chinese and English (read / write / speak)
• Flexible, willing to travel mainly within China
• Candidates with experience working in Consulting companies will be preferred
