This role includes the following responsibilities; financial management and management accounting for our China office. The candidate will need to provide financial guidance and support regarding all finance related issues. The candidate will be a executive member of our China management team.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
Manage finance staffs and provide the company’s guidelines to its subordinates.
Accounting
1. Ensure accounting are compliance with local and global GAAP
2. Check/approve the transactions completed by accountants in all systems.
3. Review of all proposed accrued expense monthly and ensuring accurate accruing accounting.
4. Monitor capital expenditures.
7. Follow up on monthly closing procedures and ensure sub-ledger are reconciled with GL
8. Review and approve bank reconciliation reports per each bank account.
Taxation
1. Manage tax accounts & reports for all related taxes, such as CIT, WHT, VAT, etc...
2. To be the tax contact person for the local tax bureau and attend the working meeting held by tax bureau.
Audit
1. To be a contact person for external (or internal) audit and explain any issues raised by auditors.
2. To be responsible for implementation the proper internal control mechanism in line with corporate policy.
Costing, Reporting, Budgeting, Support
1. Prepare all reports including statutory financial statement and Corporate report.
2. Follow up on corporate budget guidelines and provide all required support to other cost centers from financial perspective
3. Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis to the management team
Other Responsibilites
1. To ensure the follow-up of all system and process decided at corporate level.
2. Ensure proper and cost effective financing strategy.
Previous Experience Required
1. Bachelor’s or higher degree
2. startup experience from initial set up and beginning is preferred.
3. Tax knowledge is a must.
4. 6 - 9 year experience in a Finance leadership role within an industrial environment.
5. Excellent ability to partner with Management, strong business acumen, leadership and influencing ability.
6. Sound verbal and written English communication skills (Fluency)
7. Ability to interact with people at all organizational levels
